A handwritten receipt listing various items sold at [what appears to be] W. D. Ticknor's, Palm Leaf Mattress, Bunker Hill Monument, Horticultural Exhibition. "W. D. Ticknor's" is probably a reference to the Old Corner Book Store opened in 1832 by William Davis Ticknor, John Allen, and, later, James Thomas Fields. The store transtioned to Ticknor, Reed, and Fields in 1845, and then in 1854 became Ticknor and Fields.
