Description

Country tea table. Rectangular gallery (dish top) surrounded by a raised molding. The shaped skirt has centered pendants. The round legs taper down to pad/button feet. The top is marbleized in black on greenish-grey. The base is a stained curly maple. The finish appears to be original.

Inscription

On a label on the underside of the table skirt, in NFL's script in ink, is: From Myrta (Little) Davies Family/Hampstead, N.H./Coll. Mr. and Mrs. B.K. Little/Brookline - Mass. On a typed jelly jar label, near the other label read: Table descended to Myrta (Little) Davies of Hampstead, N.H. from her/Little ancestors in/Newburyport. Her great-grand/ father was Tristam /Coffin.
