Description

A wooden oval band box covered with block printed wallpaper of pink and white flowers with green leaves on a blue ground. Lined with scrap paper, some with arithmetic exercises in ink, and newspaper scrap dated Jan.8, 1839. The inner bottom of the box is also filled with mathematic figures.

Inscription

An inscription in ink on the underside of the lid is: M.L. Goodrow. In ink and pencil on notes in the box reads: over 130 yrs old/Home made/Loaned by/Minnie Goodrow. (In NFL's hand) newspapers/Concord/Keene/West Winchester/1839.
