Description

The card verso identifies the image as Landseer's "Waiting for Master" with a poem and admonishment to school boys and girls to be kind to animals. One card has handwritten text "Purchase 2007 G.S." The second card has stamped on it "Given Feb. 28, 1928, Wm. S. Appleton." Handwritten text on the card reads "First card at school. Sept. 1883."
