Brownstone photographic reproduction of painting, w/ hand lettered inscription: "Rev. Paul Coffin D.D. Born in Newbury Mass: Jan: 1h. 1737. O.S. was graduated at Harvard College 1759. Married Mary Gorham of Charlestown Nov: 10. 1763. Began to preach in Narragansett No. 1 now Buxton M'e early in 1761. Was ordained there March 16, 1763. Died there June 6. 1821. To the Old Coffin Mansion Newburyport. from Cyril (?) Woodman October 16 1873." Paper label on back: Mrs. S.B. Adams/ 5 High Street/ Newbury, Old Town" in pen script.
