Description

White clay body with pearl glaze; circular form with narrow rim; lobed edge; slightly dished. Shallow circular well. Underglaze blue transfer printed decoration in early "Willow" pattern featuring birds at left, Chinese/ Middle Eastern style temples, houses, and figures and a fence featuring the Union Jack. Scroll cavetto border. Rim border floral leafy motifs, quartered by thistle, rose and crown.
