Description

Buccaroware, made in imitation of Chinese Yi-Hsing Yao wares. Unglazed red clay body, hand-built and molded. Squat circular body tapers to circular basal ring w/ slightly recessed bottom. Flattened shoulder w/ short cylindrical neck w/ chamfered inner edge. Applied simple C-shaped handle. Short straight spout. Domed lid w/ knop finial and circular flange. Molded mark on bottom (octagon w/ bamboo shoots and blossoms.)
