Description

"This certifies that Philip Howes Sears has attended satisfactorily the recitations and lectures and performed all the exercises and passed the examination required by the laws of the University in the department of Latin. In witness whereof the President of the University and the Professor of said department have hereunto set their hands this 28th day of August in the year of our Lord 1844."
