Buff-colored clay body w/ cream-colored slip on exterior and white slip on interior. Colorless glaze overall. Tumbler form is a slightly tapered cylinder w/ molded circular foot. Wide circular mouth. Polychrome transfer printed decoration featuring elves in grapevine drinking ale. Printed mark (depiction of angel and cartouche), "Villeroy & Boch/ Mettlach/ Made in Germany/ 1032/ Geschutz." .1) Three elves
