This seventeenth-century dining table in the Coffin House in Newbury, Massachusetts was made in England and features block, ring, and baluster turnings with rectangular stretchers. Tables like these were used for dining and for work. Along with a chest, they were the primary pieces of furniture in a seventeenth-century hall.
