Description

Queen Anne transitional style chair. Yoke crest with carved horns centered above vasiform splat tenoned into molded splat rail. Rear stiles from 3" below seat and crest bead molded on face edges. Replaced rush seat above vase and block turned front legs. Unusual Spanish feet with inside and rear flush with block above. Weak ball and reel turned front stretcher, smaller version paired as side stretchers, slightly swelled dowel rear stetcher. Evidence of black paint, stripped.
