Description

Chippendale form chair. Serpentine crest on plain rectangular back. Serpentine mahogany arms with rounded top edges, supports are molded with bead edge, dovetailed into side rails with bottom level and lower edge of seat rail. Mahogany seat rails (possibly replaced) with new pine corner braces and coil spring seat. Square front legs with bead-edged, molded outside faces. Four rectangular stretchers, side and rear placed flush with outside face of legs, center stretcher dovetailed into sides 5" back from front leg. Faded maroon velveteen upholstery, loose seat cushion. Fitted for casters that are now missing.
