Trunk. Pine, leather, brass, iron. Newspaper lining, with notices dated 1830 and labeled Kennebunkport, Portland, etc. Rectangular form with hinged lid. Pine carcass with black leather covering. Leather reinforced edges with brass studs. Cast iron C-shaped handles at sides. Two express company labels on sides, each marked "Newburyport and Boston".
