Description

Tulip/baluster shaped ale tankard. Domed and hinged lid with slightly scrolled thumbpiece. Hinge has decorative plate with tear drop end. 'S' scroll handle with decorative molded lower knop. Single raised rib around waist. Concave ring beneath body, low molded foot. Marked to left of upper handle with crown over X (signifies britannia), and other indecipherable touchmarks.
