Oval engraving of woman in 18th century costume seated on bench shelling peas. Half timbered building behind her. Gilt oval frame with beaded inner molding. Back has glued paper label, probably originally part of the legend at front of print. Print probably rectangular when printed, label inscribed "A Cottage Girl Shelling Pease". Engraved by P.W. Tompkins after W.R. Bigg.
