Description

Rectangular pieced red and white copper plate curtain panel, backed in linen, quilted in diamond pattern, nail holes across; scenes of "Louis XVI restaurateur de la Libertie" w/ central image of seated Louis XVI in Roman armour w/ lion at his feet welcoming "Liberty" accompanied by Mars & Minerva, next to him is woman holding a cap of liberty on the end of a pine--to the right are a "citizen" and Mercury--above is a cartouche w/ 2 men plowing, w/ other smaller scenes around this motif.
