Description

White clay body w/ colorless "white" glaze. Polychrome enamel decoration in the rose palette. Gilt ground w/ floral and butterfly motifs in scenic reserves in the rose mandarin pattern. A) Teacup: Deep circular bowl w/ scalloped mouth and circular foot ring. C-shaped handle. Exterior w/ a scenic reserve and a floral reserve. Interior border band. B) Saucer: Circular w/ scalloped edge. Decoration as above, quartered by scenic and floral reserves.
