Description

Maple desk in the Chippendale style. Tiger maple. Four graduated drawers with solid brasses (new and replaced). Two rectangular fall-front supports with flat, round brass pulls. Fall-front opens to reveal central door flanked by split applied columns. Door reveals central door flanked by split applied columns. Door reveals compartment with fitted drawer. Four pigeonholes with shaped cornices flank each side of central door and surmount two tiers of drawers with reverse-curve fronts and brass pulls. Three-board back (horizontal). Shaped bracket and molded straight skirt. Rests on ball and claw front feet and bracket rear feet.
