Embroidered scene from Sterne's Sentimental Journey through France and Italy, depicting Yorick and Maria with her dog. A carriage and the next town in Yorick's journey lie behind them. Frame backed with wallpaper; painted black frame w/ inner and outer (originally) gilt border.
