Letter from Peter Gilman to Rev. Eleazer Wheelock, founder of Dartmouth College in answer to appeal to help with College Mill. Gilman recommends Capt Clark "abt." and his "expearanced" son, whose wages may be higher than Wheelock expects but will be cheaper in end. Wages: 4 shillings/ day and pays 4 days travel, although they may "give in" on several days travel if paid without trouble.
