Block-printed cotton with Chinoiserie motif (stylized pagoda surrounded by floral and arbor arrangements). Background is a dark red, pattern is created with lighter red, green, blue, and cream colors. Fabric is backed with a plum-colored chintz, which is tacked in place with a red cotton (?) thread and bound with a woven (twill?) tape of copper, green, cream and light brown stripes (on 2 sides). A different weight thread is used for seamed areas.
