Pearlware plate with molded scallop edge. Rim is molded with a feather and sprig pattern and painted green. Plate interior is transfer-printed with an image of the ship "SALLY OF BOSTON" in black. Parts of the image are over-painted in green, red and blue. The American clipper ship Sally was constructed in Boston in 1803. She sailed from there under Richard Orne as master. Lost on Bahama Bank in 1825.
