Description

The Mersey ship is caught in a northerly gale w/ no auxiliary power. In the foreground a boat that attempted to secure part of the mast has gone adrift. The Maria Brandt, to the right, has a damaged bowsprit and the John Bagshaw and smaller Dutch coaster try to outrun the storm. Framed in a 2 inch wooden frame.
