Description

An especially decorative carte de visite album, bound in green leather with marbled paper on the inside. The pages are multi-colored with embossed patterns around the spaces for the photographs. Many of the sitters are identified. The families represented are Edes, Tobey, Barker, Hooper and Whiting. Justin Winsor (also in 79C) and Col. George Prescott (79D and E) appear here as well. There are also other portraits of men in uniform. There is one carte de visite copy of a painting of an early Whiting relative and a few tintypes.
