The agate iron was made by the Lalance & Grosjean Manufacturing Company.The testimonials are dated 1877. An illustration of the Lalance factory with the name Agate Iron Ware Manufacturing Company is on the first page and was built in 1879 in the Woodhaven section of Queens, New York.
