Description

Pasteboard bandbox with lid. Box fragments (A) and (C) are covered with "Empire Garden Scene" wallpaper - a block-printed landscape with male and female figures surrounded by trees and flowers. The female figure holds her skirts while the male figure points upward. The scene is surrounded by a spiral, floral design on a light blue ground. The box has been flattened and is in two pieces. The lid (B) is covered with a wallpaper featuring large bird purched on the branch of a small tree on a light blue ground. The rim is the same pattern as 2002.63.34B
