Wooden bandbox with lid. Box (A) and lid (B) covered with two layers of deocorative paper. First layer is a multihued rainbow ground paper in green, orange and red with large block-printed, floral design. The second, or uppermost, paper layer is a lily and leaf pattern on grey ground. The second layer of paper is fragmented. The underside of the lid is lined with newspaper dated 1848. The box contains one bonnet and two top hats.
