Description

Overmantel painting, landscape with houses along the left bank of a river. In the left foreground, is a large yellow house with a small connected outbuilding and fence. In the center is a dead tree with a large bird perched on the top branch. A hound scents a rabbit, which hides behind a rock at the left. On the right, a boat sails on the river, one is moored at the dock in the middle distance. A small town is visible in the far distance on the river bank and a steep hill closes off the right bank. The picture is ebonized with beveled edges.
