Description

Cylindrical box [a] with cover [b] from Hawaii made of woven leaf strips in a classic check pattern. The cover fits over and extends two inches past the rim of the box. The sides of the cover have been decorated with four triangle designs woven in a dark orange colored leaf. Boxes like this were widely available in Hawaii for the tourist market.
