Wooden bandbox (A) with lid (B). Box is covered with two layers of decorative paper. The first layer is a block-printed yellow floral on blue ground. The second, top layer is a block-printed rococo floral with scrolls and urns on verticle vines and borders. Printed in brown, green, white on gray ground. Inside of box and underside of lid are lined with Amherst, New Hampshire newspaper dated December 29, 1821 and June 7, 1828 respectively.
