Description

Two fragments of Renaissance Revival floral stripe wallpaper from the Clapp House, Dorchester, Massachusetts. Small climbing vines of multi-colored flowers grows up a gray vertical stripe that runs along the left side of roll. The rest of the roll is printed with gray strapwork and scrolls forming loose medallions draped with floral swags and hanging vines Block-printed in green, mauve, brown, orange, blue and gray on a white polished ground. Straight repeat.
