Chippendale side chair. Side chair. Mahogany with birch rear seat rail maple front and side seat rails; yellow pine (probably pitch pine) corner blocks. Serpentine crest rail with central flat shell carving and carved molded ears. Pierced splat with owl's eye central design. Leather-upholstered seat lined with single row of brass nails. Ogee brackets glued and nailed to upper front corners of front legs. Marlborough legs with beaded edges. Raked back legs. H-shaped stretchers with beaded edges.
