Description

Wallpaper fragment from the Clapp House in Dorchester, Massachusetts. English Pillar and Arch pattern block-printed and stenciled. Architectural elements in light blue, gray and black on gray ground. Floral swags and leaves, in green, pink and red, adorn the architectural elements. A small piece of floral border, matching the floral elements in the sidewall paper, can be seen along the bottom edge of the fragment. For more fragments of the matching border, see 2001.281.386A-D.
