Description

Women's cape constructed with deep shoulder yoke, lined hood, arm slits, and a single sleeve made from the lining fabric and decorated with three bands of velvet ribbon on cuff. Sleeve extends and retracts throught the proper right arm slit. No evidence of proper left sleeve extant. Cape is lined in striped green and cream silk repurposed from another garment (evidence of previous stitching visible throughout), interlined and tufted. Calash-style hood folds flat into deep collar, decorated with rows of velvet ribbon. The hood is lined in contrasting red. Closure up center front with buttons.
