Description

Partial roll of embossed wallpaper from Boston retailer A. H. Davenport. Central shield medallion flanked by griffin. Design also includes pod-like floral garland, acanthus leaves and scrolls. Paper is printed or stenciled in red, orange, two tans, dark brown, and two greens on a brown ground and is varnished. (A) refers to partial roll. (B) is an unprinted and unembossed fragment from the end of the roll.
