Description

Fragment of wallpaper embossed in low-relief from the stock of Boston retailer A. H. Davenport. Large scale floral pattern of lilies and roses. The paper's embossed texture and the shadowing, striping and dots within the pattern immitate the look of a woven textile. Roller-printed in two shades of peach, two greens, burnt orange, and metallic gold on a dark mauve ground.
