Description

Four panels of French scenic wallpaper. Handpainted on sheets of paper 39 1/4 inches wide by 105 inches hight. The painted pattern of each section is approximately 37 inches high, the remainder being sky. Written in ink on the reverse of one panel: "Environs de Paris / de 31 a 40." Two of the sections join in sequence, the other two do not. The scenes depicted are both pastoral and forest. The sky areas are in excellent condition; the lower portions on which the scenes are painted have had greater exposure and have a good deal of loss and wear.
