Description

This large "Card Album" contains a carefully arranged collection of Boston area trade cards interspersed with colorful embossed stickers and cards with sayings and biblical quotes. Included are images of famous political figures, humorous illustrations including a series of baseball terms, and trade card advertisements for soap makers, liniments, hair tonics and dyes, shirt collars and other items for domestic use. Sponsoring companies include Metropolitan Life Insurance, Clark ONT Spool Cotton Co., J. & P. Coats, and Nestles. There is a card for General Tom Thumb's Museum and a ticket to the Boston Lodge Ball dated 1882.
