Light green silk; shirred with nine pairs of reed hoops; brim has rounded ends, with cut away for neck; neck is padded and has very long neck upper with three bands of piping--one in center of ruffle; taffeta silk ribbon ties, of ombred green and cream, brocaded with delicate floral sprays with green leaves, ribbon ties have hook and eye; round crown stiffened with leno weave convas; three-quarters of hat lined with canvas of tighter weave; brim has one wire support attached on inside from crown to brim edge along top.
