An almost square format, still life with a fluted blue bowl sprinkled with mica. It is filled with stenciled fruit of indeterminate kinds in yellow, pink and purple shades. In an original red-painted frame and glass.

In fancy penmanship with ink, in the center base of the picture reads: French Fruit . Also in ink in the lower right corner of the picture is: Mary Ann H. Stearns/Billerica, Sept. 1827. [NFL- the signature is very hard to read]
