Paint-decorated sewing box of low rectangular form, the hinged top is painted with a scenic land and seascape view, enclosed in a yellow oval border and black ground. The sides are yellow with red outline and also with long green ovals with curvilinear freehand designs in white. It has a metal interior lock with a fanciful small key, the inside is fitted with three compartments to both the box and inside cover. It is painted a deep red with swirling white-painted freehand designs in each compartment, and is painted black around the outside edges. The green underside is signed in white paint.
