On a white sticker, in black faded felt tip pen, in the upper left corner on the back is written: 37 [in a circle]. Handwritten in charcoal, upper center of the backside is: #567F . Written inscript in pencil, on the upper center on the back is: Painted for C.R. Barstow in June 1893 by a patient named Arnold./Barstow worked on the east and west wings built during 1892 and 1893. Typed on a jelly label, in the lower left side on the back is: Taunton Lunatic Asylum./Painted for C.K. Barstow in/June, 1893 by a patient named/Arnold.
