This scrapbook, missing both its covers, contains mostly pasted-in enravings clipped from early magazines depicting a variety of images of people, animals, and dramatic scenes such as shipwrecks. Other clippings depict sentimental images of children and pets, a country fair, and other pastoral scenes. Engraved portraits of William Penn, Fennimore Cooper and Oliver Hazard Perry are included as are several pages of fashions from Godey's Ladies Books. Scenes of foreign landmarks and events also appear. One page carries the date 1856.
