Dark blue velvet trifold huswife / needle case and pincushion lined with pink and white checked silk. Exterior decorated with white opaque and clear glass beads in mounded, three-dimensional designs of flowers and a dove.

Made by an unidentified Haudenosaunee artist, likely Tuscarora. Haudenosaunee (Mohawk, Onondaga, Oneida, Cayuga, Seneca, and Tuscarora peoples comprising the historic Six Nations Confederacy or Iroquois League) artists combined their skills in traditional beading with contemporary fashions to create souvenirs for sale at Niagara Falls and other tourist destinations.Haudenosaunee beading is still done today. Creating these souvenirs helped perpetuate vital Native cultural heritage.
