This album, entitled "Scrap Book," contanis hundreds of colorfully illustrated trade cards for New England businesses such as soap makers, stationers, fancy goods, and manufactureres of pianos, furniture and other domestic goods. Peabody's in Salem; G.P. Brown in Beverly; Providence Furniture Company; and R.H. White in Boston are well represented. Also of not are cards from D.T. Burrell, Photo. Artist, in Brockton. Often these cards are issued in sets conveying a sequence of events designed to entertain. Many cards depict children in costume; quite a few have titles in French. Other entries include holiday greting cards, images of animals, birds and flowers. There are several illustrating board and card games.
