Description

Wallpaper fragment from the General John Walker House in Burlington, Massachusetts. Floral striped wallpaper. Stripes of floral sprigs and leaves block-printed in green varnish, black and white alternate with narrower stripes of dots and dashes printed in white. Light blue ground. Wove paper in partial sheets. Earliest, or first, layer of two layers of paper.
