Description

Wallpaper fragment from the General Sylvanus Thayer birthplace in Braintree, Massachusetts. Block-printed paper with small double lines of squares printed in off-white run diagonally in one direction and printed in dark red run diagonally in the other to form a diamond pattern. Large diamond figures with a central sprig or leaf, also printed in cream and dark red, are partially visible. Wove paper, mismatched sheets.
