Description

Wallpaper fragment from Cotuit, Massachusetts. Badly deteriorated floral wallpaper. Pattern is difficult to discern but a small fragment protected by the overlap of another piece of paper reveals original bright green leaves, red striping, and pale pink flowers and dots on a bright yellow ground. Block-printed on sheets of wove paper. Layer one of three.
