Bound album of postcards labeled on cover Downtown. 233 colored and black and white postcards dating form 1905-1917, many written with postmarks and some with dealer prices.
Album covers Boston, mostly the Downtown, North End and South End. Other parts of Boston include cards of the Boston Public Library, Copley Plaza, US Constitution, Charlestown and Waterfront. The North End includes Old North Church, Paul Revere House and street scenes. Downtown landmarks include Faneuil Hall, Scollay Square, Old State House, Union Oyster House, Parker House, and Kings Chapel, Tremont Temple, Old South Church, Park Street Church, the State House, Massachusetts General Hospital, Cathedral of the Holy Cross, City Hospital, several hotels, Boston Theatres and Old City Hall. There are cards for all the different downtown streets - Summer and Winter Streets, Post Office Square, Washington Street shopping district including some modern day snapshots, Tremont Street, Pie Alley, Boston Common, Charles River, Beacon Street, Chinatown and South Station, Boylston Street and nighttime scenes of Boston. A collection of cards show Bosworth Street and Marliave Café in the past and modern day
