Description

Paper window shade applied, probably to a fire screen, as a decorative element. Uppermost layer and probably sixth paper of approximately six layers from one location in Hanson, Massachusetts. Landscape scene framed on sides and bottom with large scale scrollwork. Block-printed in white, green, black, brown and tan on light blue ground. Back of paper also printed light blue.
